Einat Shaer Tamar
Research Associate and Lab Manager​​
Einat holds an MSc in Physics from the Hebrew University and a PhD in Biology from the Technion, where she studied microbial evolution in structured environments. She previously worked as a scientist at Insightec, developing ultrasound-based brain surgery. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and baking desserts.
Aya Elkanayev
MSc student
Aya holds a BSc in Life Sciences from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She previously worked as a research assistant at Tel Aviv University. Aya is interested in Biophysics, evolution of genes and traits, and the origin of diseases. She loves playing Go, reading, traveling, and learning languages.
Amalia Weissman Bloch
Undergraduate Researcher
Amalia is an undergraduate student in the Life Sciences program at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She is interested in the combination of technology and scientific research, and how it can be used to study tissue health and disease. She enjoys teaching yoga, listening to audiobooks, and going to the beach.
Madhuri Majumder
Postdoctoral Fellow
Madhuri holds an MSc in Applied Mathematics and a PhD in Mathematical Biology from the University of Kalyani, where she specialized in epidemic modeling of coinfection dynamics. She is currently developing mathematical models to study complex tissue processes. In her free time, she enjoys painting.
Avia Walfish
Undergraduate Researcher
Avia is an undergraduate student in the Biotechnology program at Hadassah College of Jerusalem. He is interested in the intricacies of organisms and the relationships between different life forms. Avia enjoys conversing with people, drinking good coffee, and reading science fiction.
Talia Hershko
Undergraduate Researcher
Talia is an undergraduate student in the Life Sciences program at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She is interested in analyzing communication between cell types in healthy and diseased tissues. Beyond her studies, she finds joy in cooking and treasures family time, especially moments spent with her nephews.
